Day 01 - COLOMBO AIRPORT | COLOMBO.
Upon arrival at Bandaranaike International Airport (CMB), your chauffeur guide will welcome you and transfer you to Colombo (approx. 40-minute drive). If time permits, enjoy a Colombo city tour exploring its vibrant markets, colonial landmarks, and modern attractions. Overnight in Colombo.
Day 02 - COLOMBO | NUWARA ELIYA.
Morning leave for Nuwara Eliya- the heart of Sri Lanka’s tea country, surrounded by misty mountains. En route, stop at Kitulgala (famous for white-water rafting, optional). In the afternoon, enjoy a sightseeing tour of Nuwara Eliya. Overnight in Nuwara Eliya.
Day 03 - NUWARA ELIYA.
Early morning, journey to Horton Plains National Park for a trek to World's End, an 880-meter cliff offering breathtaking views. Enjoy a picnic breakfast during the trek. Afterward, return to Nuwara Eliya. Overnight in Nuwara Eliya.
Day 04 - NUWARA ELIYA | KANDY.
Leave for Kandy. Visit a Tea Factory, where you can learn about the tea-making process and enjoy a fresh brew. and the stunning Ramboda Falls en route. In the evening, visit the sacred Temple of the Tooth Relic (Dalada Maligawa) and enjoy a traditional Kandyan dance show. Overnight in Kandy.
Day 05 - KANDY.
Kandy Sightseeing, explore the Royal Botanical Gardens of Peradeniya, and visit several interesting temples including Lankathilleke, Gadaladeniya, Embekke Devalaya, close to Kandy. Later, visit a Gem Museum, and enjoy panoramic views from Kandy City View Point and Shopping. Overnight stay at Kandy.
Day 06 - KANDY | SIGIRIYA.
Depart for Sigiriya. En route visit a local Spice Garden and you’ll also explore Dambulla Cave Temple —a UNESCO World Heritage Site, renowned for its ancient murals and Buddha statues housed within a stunning network of caves. Afternoon Climb Pidurangala Rock for stunning sunset views. Overnight stay at Sigiriya.
Day 07 - SIGIRIYA.
Early in the morning, start your day with a climb to the iconic 5th-century Sigiriya Rock Fortress (a UNESCO World Heritage Site), famous for its ancient frescoes and the majestic lion-pawed gateway, offering panoramic views.
Afterwards, enjoy a traditional village experience, including a bullock cart ride, a serene catamaran boat ride on the lake, and a simple home-cooked village lunch (available upon request).
Afternoon, embark on a half-day safari at Minneriya National Park, famous for its large elephant gatherings. Overnight in Sigiriya.
Day 08 - SIGIRIYA.
This morning, explore Ritigala Archaeological Site (a mystical forested mountain ruin), Afternoon, journey to Polonnaruwa, a medieval city in Sri Lanka. Explore this ancient, UNESCO-listed site, renowned for its historical and archaeological wonders. Return to Sigiriya. Overnight in Sigiriya.
Day 09 - SIGIRIYA | TRINCOMALEE (NILAVELI).
Travel to Trincomalee on the east coast. Here, you’ll visit the Koneswaram Temple(a cliffside Hindu shrine) and the colorful Pathrakali Amman Temple. Afternoon, Enjoy leisure on the beach. Overnight stay at Nilaveli.
Day 10 - TRINCOMALEE (NILAVELI).
In the morning, take a boat ride to Pigeon Island. It is a tiny island and is the best place for snorkeling in Sri Lanka. There are over 100 species of stunning coral, and it is teeming with over 300 species of colourful reef fish (best visited during the season from May to October)
In the afternoon, relax and enjoy leisure time on the beach. Overnight stay in Nilaveli.
Day 11 - TRINCOMALEE | ANURADHAPURA.
Morning, leave for Anuradhapura, the ancient capital of Sri Lanka. Explore the ancient city of Anuradhapura, a UNESCO World Heritage Site with ruins dating from the 3rd century BC to the 8th century AD, including the sacred Sri Maha Bodhi tree. If time allows, visit Mihintale, the cradle of Buddhism in Sri Lanka. Overnight in Anuradhapura.
Day 12 - ANURADHAPURA | WILPATTU | KALPITIYA.
Early in the morning Checkout Hotel and leave for Experience Wilpattu National Park with a picnic breakfast. (Wilpattu National Park is the largest national park in Sri Lanka, renowned for its leopards and unique "Villu" lakes.) Afterwards Continue your journey to Kalpitiya -a kite-surfing paradise. Overnight stay at Kalpitiya.
Day 13 - KALPITIYA.
Leisure on the beach or Set off for a whale and dolphin-watching tour (Dec–Apr). Try kitesurfing or explore fishing villages. Overnight stay at Kalpitiya.
Day 14 - KALPITIYA.
Spend the rest of the day relaxing on the beach. Overnight stay at Kalpitiya.
Day 15 - KALPITIYA | COLOMBO AIRPORT,
Transfer to Bandaranaike International Airport(CMB) for your departure, concluding your unforgettable 15-day journey across the island with Sri Lanka Beach Tours.
